Concept Artist

For the spring 2017 semester, we are currently looking for a Concept Artist.

Your job will be to help design and flesh out the visual concept of the world and characters, adhering to the look and feel of the game. 3D artists will be using your work as a foundation for building game assets. Some of the work you may be asked to complete include: drawing concept art for environments and/or characters , drawing splash or loading screens, assisting with texture creation for 3D models.

As a member of our team, we will expect you to put in the hours and effort necessary to complete your tasks and work hard to bring this project to the next level. You will be expected to complete the required tasks on weekly stretches, work with a closely knit team, and attend regular meetings. You will be required to work in software with permissive licenses (Krita, etc.) to create these assets.

Additional Info

We have a dedicated work space that allows us to focus and collaborate in a team environment. Many of the tools we use are already installed on machines, but more tools can be installed if necessary.

If you are a student who wishes to join the project, please send an email to Maximilian Wright (mw9448[at]g.rit.edu).

IGM Students: This project will count as a 3 credit advanced elective.

Non-IGM Students: You will need to get an independent study approved through your own department to work on this project. To do this, you must obtain the sponsorship of a faculty member who is willing to oversee your progress throughout the semester. We can help with defining how your independent study will be graded in conjunction with ours.
